We went to this beautiful park (I believe it was called Iwamizawa park), and it stole my breath. They had so many beautifully colored trees and plants, and in the center was a lake with so many lily pads. There was a bridge over the lake and onto an island, where an old, traditional tea house was situated. I was in awe as one of our translators, Kyoko, told us of how the samurai would enter through a specific entrance, making them take off their swords so they could convene inside. She said they often talked about secret meetings and plans. We got to go inside, too! It was beautiful, but some of us had to duck a bit to get through the doorways. I was the perfect height, so I was good!
