WelcomeI'm ready for a romance to ravage my heart and tear apart my
dusty limbs, I'm waiting for someone to take my breath and
never give it back; I'm prepared to sell all I was for a trip
somewhere new - beyond the paper mistakes I sailed away
down the river long ago. (even rocks and leaden thoughts
won't let the truth sink.)

I left my being somewhere under a waning summer sun
when the trees hummed melodies of moving on;
my soul still stays there, porous and pining and
lost. Dying stars don't lead home.

it's more than just losing
your words, it's losing
you

Something around me doesn’t feel right,
I feel it in my mind and I feel it at the tips of my fingers
It’s nothing I can hear or see, and it is even out of my sight,
But I can’t shake this odd feeling of discomfort, it just lingers
I’m not really sad or angry, just kind of wandering in the grey abyss
A never-ending void full of doubts, insecurities and worrying
But the problem is that I can’t quite place my finger on it,
For what reason I honestly don’t know, but the feeling is unsettling
So when someone asks me what’s wrong now, I don’t know what to say
‘Cause physically I feel fine, emotionally I’m alright,
But mentally, even if it isn’t me, still feels out of place,
Like trying to locate the spot of that final puzzle piece that you can simply can’t find
Or maybe I can identify the problem it’s just that I’m afraid to do so
‘Cause perhaps I’m just afraid to look

SeasickDown wakened skin
words dribbled and fell,
brimming with silken
promises.

Hands intertwined to join
scarred veins and heartbeats,
while I bled you onto pages,
into waters of sin and heartbreak,
lovingly numb, subjectively blind;

I let waves bury me, beneath
winding seaweed and smooth siren calls,
believing we would join further—
closer.

When I vomited the poison
of lies, the pungent ache of salt,
it was upsetting but not surprising;
“I should have known better.”

I write down the words
but they come from your mind
even though you don't know
what you leave behind

I pick up what's left
and put it all together
I don't know what I do
but it's for the better

You say you can't write
but that's not your need
Just simply be there for me
it's the poet inside me you feed

quintessential reason(ing) lackadaisical limbs, i urge you to move

stubborn senses, i dare you to function

i need to write me some poetry;

i need to forget my dead muse

and get back to the rimes,

runs, and runes

(i'd rather without the remote sympathy,

though i thank you copiously)

my wrists serve as almanac of patchy promises

while the four tires of my feet have skidded more than mere meters

away from the

I...Tears form, they roll down my cheek, they fall on my pillow.

I draw a breath, I hold it, I exhale and let my body melt onto my bed.

I close my eyes, I shut them tight, I open them wide, and stare at my ceiling.

I hear the clock above my door ticking, second by second.. tick, tick, tick, tick

I move my gaze down, and stare out my barely visible window, I stare at a moving branch.

I draw a breath, I hold it for as long as I can, I let go and feel relief.

I close my eyes, I let my thoughts go crazy, my face twitches.

Tears form, they roll down my cheek, they fall on my pillow and meet the others to form a wet patch.

I cry.

I sniffle.

Ode to AutumnOh, singed rainbow -
burnt orange, citrine,
muddied purple...
You are the mad red
creeping through my irises,
the fever adorning my sight.

Oh, beautiful fire -
set the trees alight!
Fall through the mountains,
burn the forest until
ashen grey and black
are all that's left.

Oh, flames of autumn,
cleanse the earth.
Pour your purifying inferno
over the land.
Prepare the way for white -
soft and bare.

Oh, my precious autumn lie,
your promise of beauty falters
as the earth makes way
for winter's frozen death.
And autumn, there is no sign
of spring in sight.

diluted evanescencebreezes are fickle things, you said
when your eyes were somewhere far away

the wind danced in the narrow expanse
of all our waning hopes and desires,
and something about the way the air grew static
made me remember a time when
inexperience was still a virtue.

sparks go out, you said
as the discord dimmed
(glossy eyes weren't always
made of glass, but they became
along the line of desperation)

I truly believed the world pulsed somewhere
in the cadence of your voice,
because in your breath- earthquakes would
break and oceans would crash and I always
came up short.

we're living a borrowed life, you said
but no one ever taught u

a new ocean to explore.Selling souvenirs,
falling through the atmosphere;

my heart is nothing
but a thread on unsure sleeves,
fraying at the seams.

Yet I still come home to
your crystal clavicles,

giving salt to shores;

a new ocean to explore.

but she didn’t understand that
imagery fades and that metaphors
are too easily forgotten.

alliteration eyes—why I hid the tag
‘ hello my name is: writer ’
beneath San Francisco bays
and rotting ink grenades,
still in dead crusade.

I broke pencil shavings in
skybound veins, just to taste
the words
and I bled like a sinner
for mere dreams of some redemption.

“I’m only a poet of capitulation”

Sea
Her love was bone white,
unblemished and
stunning

[ but never like diamonds. ]

Truth then became water to
pruning fingers and splitting lips,
while she drowned
in the mouth
of a liar like me.

Getting OldI have messages in bottles
written in blood,
and words in my head
that cause tears to flood.

I have scarred knuckles
and shattered glass,
I have no reflection
or smiles that last.

I have no heart
which I'm willing to give.
I have no life,
which I'm willing to live.

What can I say,
to make you understand?
Don't grow up, dear,
nothing goes as planned.

You break and shatter,
and forget the starry night.
You cry and turn bitter,
turning away from the light.

You're so young right now,
and ask why I'm so cold.
Just remember, love,
this happens when you grow old.

I partook in the poison
of your miracle, for
I believed you a magician:

You pulled chronic weariness
from my marrow—

my faith,
from hazy depths grown
too accustomed.

The eggs spoiled fast:
you pulled from your hat
an act of distrust,
and you left me

with stardust,

with stardust.

Here's one I wrote before writer's block set in...Some memories I just can't forget. That, and I thought you guys deserved something from me before I go into writer's hibernation.
Hopefully this is a little different than my usual style. I hope so.
